About Troop 42

We're glad you want to learn more about us! Troop 42 is a Scouting America boys troop in the Pinelands district of the Garden State Council. Although we're gratefully chartered by Saint Matthew Lutheran Church in Moorestown, NJ, we primarily serve the town of Mount Laurel, where most of our scouts are from. We're a smaller troop than most, but this allows us to focus more on each individual scout and help them advance through the ranks as they grow.

Activities

We have many different trips that we take year-round.

WATER TRIPS

We take many water trips, either with our multiple kayaks or renting various equipment. We have gone white water rafting, kayaking, and more.

CHALLENGE COURSES

Troop 42 scouts love challenge courses. We do climbing courses, obstacle courses, and more.

CAMPING

We strive to take a camping trip at least once every month. We have traveled to multiple campgrounds all throughout the Delaware Valley area.
